Job Description
• Track the various regulations/ policies applicable to the power sector at the central and state government level.
• Understand and carry out SWOT analysis of the regulations/policies.
• Analyse implications of the same and present them to the management team.
• Understand working of the regulatory bodies at the central and state government level ( eg Central electricity Regulatory commission and Maharashtra electricity Regulatory commission)
• Interacting with regulators and consultants, and attending hearings of the commissions as may be required.
• Analysing various tariff orders for both renewable and non-renewable sectors.
• Analysing the techno-commercial impact of Power Purchase Agreements.
• Clear understanding on Open Access Mechanism of Power Trading, Availability Based Tariff, Indian Electricity Act 2003, National Tariff Policy, Grid Regulations, etc.
